More art this year.
So, in the past years I’ve always had all these new years resolutions. How many of them ever got fulfilled? On average I’d say one out of ten maybe. But that’s probably like most people, right? You have all these things you want to do and then somewhere along the way life just get’s in the way. So this year I’m approaching this whole thing a little differently. This year I only have one resolution. That is to make more artwork and I’m focusing all my energy on that. Anything else that I might get done along the way is just a bonus and so far it’s working out well. I’ve started the year off pretty well. I decided that I am going to be a painter instead of just drawing or printmaking. I picked up a bunch of supplies, oil paints, canvases, etc. I’ve gessoed a few sheets of paper for some quick studies and I’ve got one larger painting project almost finished.
